Hyundai and Kia: Mega reminder to USA

Hyundai and Kia: Mega reminder to USA - These are 1.9 million vehicles that are recalled by the two brands of the group for the replacement of a defective brake light switch. This switch prevents the release of the famous red lights when braking and pouvent cause deactivation of speed controller and the ESP.

According to the U.S. Agency for Road Safety Administration (NHTSA), this failure may prevent the vehicle from ordinary braking especially in emergency conditions or low grip.

Total and this one incident, it is a million Hyundai and Kia 700,000 are affected by the recall. These cars were manufactured between 2007 and 2011. These are almost all models of Hyundai and Kia in the U.S. who are concerned with:
Hyundai
Accent, Tucson, Elantra, Optima, Sedona, Veracruz, Rondo, Sportage, Genesis Coupe, Sorento

We learn also that Hyundai Elantra recalls over 186,000 produced between November 12, 2010 and March 5, 2013 for a misplaced airbag support (or fixed?) Which, upon deployment could injure the passenger. This was also the case because once the NHTSA launched an investigation to know the cause of injury of a passenger airbag which is open!

Nothing so far in the direction of our European markets, but it will remain attentive to see what will happen.
